You Can’t Rush True Growth
Modern human instinct is to expect instantaneous results. We know what we want, and we want it NOW, NOW, NOW! Technology has made us impatient and privileged.
Statements like these might make me seem anti-tech, but that could not be further from the truth. If anything, I am a tech evangelist, but some aspects of progress benefit from patience, which is a skill we are gradually losing.
As a solopreneur, I’ve had to relearn patience. Someone new to entrepreneurship might expect instant success. Faith and pride in your idea can cause false expectations. Truthfully, rapid growth is an outlier. Success is usually slow. Frustratingly slow. But as long as you’re growing, success is worth the wait.
