Streams

Since I'm not working full-time, I've been relying on several small income streams to get me through. Today, I added a new stream to the list.

Treasure Coast Today is finally serving ads. Until today, the only income has been subscription-based, and there aren't many of those yet. The site doesn't cost much to operate, so I've made a very small profit, but profit nonetheless. Serving ads should add a nice little chunk of revenue from non-subscribers, which up until now was basically just a community service. One of the features of a subscription is an ad-free experience, and I feel like it's a good balance between free and paywall.

My other income streams include my mobile notary business, online notarizations through Notarize, and my multiple affiliate blogs. The affiliate blogs generate less than $150 per month, but it's something.

I have a lot of faith in Treasure Coast Today. If any of my projects is going to make me a millionaire one day, it's that one. It's really the only product I've made from nothing that has made me any sort of money at all.

Ultimately, having income distributed across multiple slim income streams is never a bad thing. It's a tiny fallback for when things don't go as planned. They don't provide me with anything close to financial security, but at least it's something.
