25 Years Later
Time's passage can be deceptive.
I'd usually be saying something like "Was it really that long ago?" and "Oh my, I'm getting old," but the indelible impact that 9/11 had on our American lives creates the illusion that the shadow cast has always been there. This is especially true for me and my fellow millennials, who, as adults, have never lived in a world that wasn't haunted by its presence.
In this rare case, 25 years feels just about right.
